Borrow Against the Value of Your Rare Coins and Bullion

Gold American Eagle and Silver American Eagle bullion coinsWhy sell your hard-won collectibles under pressure when a low-interest, short-term collateral loan can cover your financial needs? American Rarities has bought and sold U.S. rare coins, foreign coins, U.S. paper currency and gold and silver bullion nationwide since 1990, purchasing more than $350 million in numismatic assets over 30+ years.

Through our partnership with Jewelry & Coin Banc, LLC, we arrange low-interest rare coin loans, silver loans, gold loans and paper currency loans secured by those same items. Jewelry & Coin Banc, LLC is licensed, bonded and operates under the supervision of the Colorado Department of Law. Our expert appraisal establishes a fair loan-to-value so you can borrow as much as your collateral supports at the lowest rate available. A collateral loan arranged through us is fast, private and has no impact on your credit rating. Collateral loans are one of our numismatic services.

Short-Term Funding That Makes Cents

U.S. gold coins including Saint-Gaudens and Liberty Head double eagles, a 1901 eagle and Indian Head gold coinsIf you need short-term funding but don’t want to sell your collection, a low-interest collateral loan (sometimes called a pawn loan) can be the right solution.

Traditional financing is often slow, burdensome and invasive, and it can carry tax or credit consequences, especially when time matters. Our coin loans, silver loans and gold coin loans are straightforward and discreet, with no credit checks.

Once you factor in the buy/sell spread on rare coins and paper currency, keeping ownership and borrowing against your items often makes more financial sense than selling. Sold coins are gone for good, and you know how hard it is to find quality collectibles at fair prices. Learn more about the rewards of holding tangible assets.

If a loan isn’t the right fit, we also buy outright. See our guides to choosing a reputable silver coin buyer, silver dollar values, estate appraisals and liquidation and selling a large coin collection.

    Coin Loans: Quick Answers

How much can I borrow against my coins or bullion?

What does a collateral loan cost?

There is no charge for the appraisal, storage, return shipping or insurance during the loan. The only cost is monthly interest of 1% to 4%, depending on the collateral and loan amount, with no penalty for repaying early.

Will a coin loan affect my credit score?

No. There is no credit check, and we do not report to any credit reporting agency, even if a loan defaults.
